- Call at least one Region II chapter(s) and talk to them about plans for the Interim meeting.
- Make sure Region II has their Regional website updated (which, in fact, they do).
- Re-distribute various Regional contact information to be sure everyone has it.
- Update and upgrade listserv subscriptions for various GC members.
- Follow up on at least one of our reports that's due at Interim, as we have not heard back from the person who's supposed to write it.
- Write a couple letters about CSAE and the NBME.
- Talk to the AAMC-OSR about some questions we'd like to see on the AAMC Graduation Questionnaire.
- Talk to an MSS leader who's interested in starting a task force on student work hours.
- Clean up typos and make minor edits to the GC goals document, including creating a much-promised one-pager.
- Contact our AMA Section on Medical Schools about some information we need to gather from all the med schools in the country.
- Edit my own position description in our GC standing rules and make sure all the appropriate student leaders get invited to the Interim meeting.
- Follow up on a letter sign-on request we got earlier in the week from the student optometric association.
- Follow up on a request from Ride For World Health that's been sitting on my desk for two months.
- Type up my notes of a joint MSS/RFS/YPS meeting for the AMA's marketing team, so that we're sure we're on the same page about what needs to be done.
- Type up my notes of a meeting with the AMA's CTO, so that he has a record of some of the things we'd like to fix about the website.
- More formal memo to marketing about a new membership benefit we're thinking of for students in their clinical years.
- Think about how to convene a task force to review our website and move around information; I probably won't create that force until September.
Plus, of course, my usual pile of emails to answer, and then there's that little research thing (poster due this Friday, eep).
